Hi, I'm Cheryl, and together with my husband Dave, run a small hobby-craft interest selling mainly at fairs in North Yorkshire, and more recently further a field around the UK. 

After holidaying many times in Portugal I developed a love for Portuguese Cork, and in particular the beautiful crafted handbags.

I took the opportunity to buy a metre of cork whilst on holiday in Madeira in 2023, making my first bag as soon as I got home. After that I found a merchant in Lisbon and now buy all of my cork from there in coloured and patterned metres. Bag making quickly became my passion, (Dave says obsession!), but I really enjoy creating the designs and making the bags. 

Cork is so versatile, it's used in clothing and shoes, handbags 

obviously, flooring, surf boards, most importantly  cork 

stoppers in wine bottles, and even in space rockets for insulation.
